Isla Mujeres And Its Glass Bottom Boat Ride

One morning in the spring of 1977, we look in our store - relieved that the sun ended a night of hiding from the sand fleas. We made the mistake of camping behind a sand dune and not directly on the beach. At dusk, the sand fleas came out and began to bite. The net of carp was not enough to keep them out and spent a miserable night. So, we were expecting something much better, as we head for the ferry to take us to Isla Mujeres Mujeres.Isla (the "island of women ') is a small island off the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Isla Mujeres near Cancun, but it is a total contrast with that famous resort. island of Cancun is the ideal place if you want a modern hotel with all amenities and hectic day and night Moreover activities.Isla Women is fairly quiet and pleasant. The people are friendly and helpful, but much more relaxed than those of modern Cancun.Soon ferry approached the dock and climbed. We had to leave our car parked in a parking lot. That always made me a little "nervous because there is no breakdown in Villahermosa.Looking previous summer in the Caribbean, from the top of the ferry, which was a pleasure. "It was a beautiful sunny day and you could see the bottom of all the manner of the Caribbean for the odd journey of forty miles. There were areas where the bottom was the light colored sand with patches of others that were dark - representing areas where coral had reefs. It trip. When was very quiet and relaxing we arrived in Isla Mujeres, We took our backpacks and headed for the ferry. The first sign we saw was one in English - "Walking in bottom boat crystal. "As we were in a glass bottom boat, first, we were delighted with the opportunity to see some tropical reef through the panoramic view of a glass bottom boat.It was too late in the day to go, so we went and got a motel. There have been several decent motels at reasonable prices and we just had a room overlooking the western beach ISLAND.THE next morning, after eating some food we brought with us in our backpacks, we headed to the pool bottom boat rides. I had the equipment to dive with me in case there was the possibility of using them. After pay the fee, which immediately went to the boat. The ship was not what expected. In Monterrey, the boat has housed about 30 people. This was only big enough for about 7. He had an outboard motor and it seemed he could not handle more than the most peaceful of waters. We past forty-five minutes south along the western edge of Isla Mujeres in an area where the ship's captain said he frequently ate fish and would not be good with numbers expecting see.We leave the panels in the bottom of the boat to you can see. We were anxious to see the beautiful fish and corals captain were. The we take a little food for fish around the boat and the fish started swarming around. I still thought that the groups had to be removed. But, surprise ! - a box was delivered to the person sitting next to him. It was glass on the end. He explained that the window is placed on the side of the boat and peered through the glass. then gave it to the wife that person. My coming and I had a very hard not to laugh out loud the captain and his ridiculous little box. Only a glass bottom boat! However, we managed to make a turn around well and showed great fish.I quite took the opportunity with the permission of the captain, to go overboard and snorkel with fish. Other people on the boat was very fun to watch me fish think. The rest of our time spent on the island tour other attractions island, including an incredible aquarium, but the glass bottom boat tour is the culmination of our time on Isla Mujeres.
