Cruise Travel Close To Home From The West Coast

The cruise travel in ports close to home is what passengers want now. In almost all reviews of cruise ships, cruise passengers have expressed concern over air travel to distant lands. Now they want to take a cruise on the ports that are close to home to enjoy a cruise vacation less stressful. Cruise lines have captured this trend and now the position of their vessels and the U.S. East and West and along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. We analyzed the shipping ports on the west coast of southern California in the port of San Diego and go northward. If you can take time before or after your cruise travel, spend more time in San Diego. The city of San Diego is blessed with warm weather all year round and seventy miles of Pacific coastline. There are many activities to enjoy while in town. They have a first class world famous zoo in Balboa Park. In the Old Town State Historic Park tells the history of California. Near the center of the city has 15 museums and beautiful gardens. A little further north of Long Beach is just 20 miles south of Los Angeles. This is where the Queen Mary was retired in 1967 and is permanently anchored in the service of a hotel. With over 12,000 sea creatures of the aquarium is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours. If you take your vacation on a cruise from Los Angeles there are plenty of things to see. A package of pre-or post-cruise cruise lines allow you to see the many cultural centers and guided by the star studded neighborhoods of Malibu, Bel Air and Hollywood. Be sure to see Grauman's Chinese Theater, Chinatown and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Visit funky Venice Beach and dine at the many fine restaurants. And do not forget, at least the windows on Rodeo Drive. Dazzling Golden Gate Bridge will be what they are fighting for you cruise vacation from San Francisco. Comments cruise many have mentioned this city as one of the favorites to start a cruise. You can choose to make a visit to the vineyards of Napa and Sonoma for a day. While in San Francisco, check out Fisherman's Wharf, or take a gondola ride through the city. In this city there are many fine restaurants. There is a ferry that takes you to Alcatraz Island for a look into the lives of prisoners. Maybe you chose Seattle as the output port. The beautiful Puget Sound area is rich in history of maritime industries. The Olympic Mountains will leave you surprised when viewed from the Space Needle, which is 607 meters high. For fun do not miss the Pike Street Market for fresh fish and products. There are many fleets of vessels for sport fishing or whale watching. Further along the coast lies in the territory of Alaska. Fairbanks, who was once a booming mining town, is the entry of interior Alaska. If you stay here for a day or two to grope an adventure in Alaska and actually go on the dogsled. Maybe you want to look for gold, another part of the history of Alaska. If you want to see the Northern Lights plan your cruise vacation for late August or early September. Choosing a cruise vacation in Whitter, Alaska will allow you to go whale watching, and try to sea lions and eagles. This is a small picturesque town that can really feel what Alaska is all. You can fly to Anchorage for the start of Seward, Alaska. Trying to spend a couple of days to explore the riches Anchorage has to offer. It's beautiful Denali National Park, where mt. McKinney, offers a spectacular landscape. In Seward you can cruise the Kenai Fjords as a day trip. Each of these cruise ports to a great start to your cruise vacation.
