Periyar National Park- Exciting and Inviting!
For those who are passionate about wildlife, Periyar National Park is a paradise in the true sense of the word. High in the scenic beauty and rich biodiversity, the park is located in the hills of cardamom in the enchanting land of Kerala. Even a tiger reserve, the park attracts tourists from around the world. According to records there are 320 species of birds in the park. The reptile park has about 45 species of reptiles such as king cobra, python, lizard, lizards, turtles, amphibians, etc. There are about 27 different types of amphibians are in the park. Fish According to the documents, there are 38 species of fish present in the park. Insects occupy a popular place in the Park, 160 species of insects found here have their own charm.
