Buying a Kayak - What to Look For
If you are deciding on their first kayak there are several options to consider. The first thing to consider is the building material and has the option of inflatable plastic, rigid plastics, wood and other materials such as Kevlar, carbon fiber and graphite composites. When it was decided the type of material you prefer kayak should consider some factors before buying your kayak.1) What kind of boat would you do for most of the time? Kayaks are made in different places, like long-distance tourism, fishing, sea kayaking or whitewater. You have to think about what kind of boat that will do for most of the time and choose a kayak that suitable.2) What experience do you have? If you are starting a kayak that is easy to get in and out of it tends to be the first priority. Almost all beginners interested can easily exit the kayak so you do not want a cabin. An excellent choice for beginners is a 'sit-on-top kayak with a seat built. Beginners usually better as a kayak with excellent initial stability with very low tippiness. Kayakers veterans almost certainly prefer a kayak that has an excellent final stability to cope more easily with gross water.3) portability and weight concern in major concern with kayaking, of course, is to be stored and easily transported and launched. Folding and kayaks are very few "easier to transport and store, but if you plan to buy looking to buy a kayak that is as light as possible.4 ) ComfortIf're storage capacity and will only be using the kayak for short periods of storage will not be a problem, but if you are traveling for longer than you would recommend making sure you have room to carry all equipment. Also check that there are comfortable chairs. Whether you favor a tight fit or make you more room to move may depend on the type of paddling you'll do. For long journeys and more space, more likely to allow you to move, stretch and change position. If you are doing whitewater kayak is usually a tight fit preferred.5) StabilityThe capacity of a ship to stay upright, is called the initial stability. Tendency to tip the boat is called the final solution. Kayaks have stability is the initial or final, is not at the same time! Beginners often prefer a boat with an excellent initial stability, like a ship with a good final stability can seem unstable to them and may be afraid of tipping. Most kayakers experts who are not afraid of investment usually prefer a boat with an excellent final stability. A more stable kayak, but good for beginners, is inevitably slower.6) Length BoatThe length is directly related to its ability to move in a straight line and maneuvering. A short kayak will be easier to maneuver and easier to rotate while a longer boat ramp will be good business better.7) How much should I pay? Of course, this will be a major factor most important to decide which kayak you are purchasing. A plastic kayak beginner can start at about $ 200, while more advanced plastic kayak would be about $ 1600. Folding Kayaks starting at $ 1300 and can be up to $ 4500 for a tandem kayak in high quality. Boats can be purchased for about $ 300. Composite kayaks are much more expensive.

Ha Long trip report 2009
...... The driver stopped in the road in a souvenir shop for tourists. We enjoyed the bathroom quickly sailed through and Jeane. He saw a small glass of red glaze that really liked and I said to buy, since I could not see again. Well said. 15 minutes later we were back on track. We arrived at the waiting area of the crossing a little before noon. I forgot to tell that they were originally booked the suite only on Valentine's Day, a small ship with only 5 rooms, including suite. Unfortunately, I received an email from Tonkin, two days before saying that it should be and Indochina Sails has offered an alternative, a suite for the new logo (but larger) Indochina Sails III. Tonkin learned that I had to go because if I could do only half price to compensate and I accepted. Indochina Sails also held a bottle of Chilean red in our suite of our problems. Indochina Sails 3 In the lounge there is a cruise ship to carry passengers to the ship. We started just before 12:30. After boarding the ship, guidance and check-in was relatively quick and painless. While the ship was larger than we would have liked, our a / c bathroom was very nice "king-size bed, a shower of rain, plus a Jacuzzi and a private terrace. There was also a safe and a minibar in the room. The luncheon was the first activity was a cruise and international / Vietnamese menu, not a buffet. Very good. The price of the cruise was all inclusive, except drinks and kayaks. Two evening activities "First, a trip Titop the island, the name of a Soviet astronaut who was there with Ho Chi Minh and the second boat to Doi Hang Bat Cave area. "It was quite covered with a few drops of rain to climb several hundred steps to the top of the mountain in Titop Island. Despite the mist, the views were pretty good so we took some pictures. The kayak was better in afternoon "drive the ship has been helpful, we are in a good group and the sky had cleared a little. The lagoon and surrounding waters are very calm, "it was nice to get away from all this as Halong Bay was very busy. Our guide took some great photos Jeane and I in our kayaks. Kayaks cost $ 10US for each additional person . Back on board the boat, we relaxed with our own cocktail in the lounge as it sailed toward the destination anchor for the night. Later, we enjoyed a demonstration of carving foods, followed by a nice dinner. We skipped the film after "The Quiet American" (I have on DVD at home) and turned in early. We got up around 5:30 the next morning (Sunday, 4 / 12), the shower and got ready for the day . The ship stopped shortly after the anchor and headed towards our next destination, a small fishing village and the surprise of the Cave. Coffee and cakes were made at 6:45. Jean and I were photographing the people entertained fishermen, while waiting for transfer to the Cave of 8. We spent about an hour, in a cave, which is actually a series of 3 large caves surprised to be the size and scope of everything. The caves have been reinforced with artificial lighting. The stairs and railings were in the place where he must scale. Guide boat gave us a little history of the caves and has stressed the different formations inside. We returned to the ship for our last meal, which included a buffet breakfast omelets made to order "not as good as the buffet Metropole, but none of the purposes below. The ship's crew asked to take our suitcases more breakfast transfer to the pier. After breakfast returned to our room to find that the maid service was already starting to clean. We have used public facilities, however, and retired for the sun to relax and settle our bill, as we approached the dock. Our driver explained was waiting at the pier and guide the ship helped us with our luggage. I gave him some advice and say goodbye. On one night, two days cruise was just perfect. I did not want to stay an extra night. The unit of exchange is very fast and silent. We made the obligatory stop at the place of souvenirs and overpriced, but do not stop. I think Jean would have liked to have spent more time, but I do not care for these places, in principle. Reported by Craig in the bay of Ha Long: Ha Long Ha Long Kayak Cruise

Cruising, Spelunking, Kayaking, Thunder And Lightening
Mary Jean said his kayak tour in Halong Bay, Vietnam with her adopted son. It is the natural wonder of Halong Bay in Vietnam. There are over 3000 limestone islands is this bay is quite spectacular. Not seem to matter where we go on this earth. . . I am always amazed at the splendor and diversity of what God has created for us to enjoy! During the 3 hour bus trip from Hanoi we stopped at a workshop where artisans worked to make jewelry, embroidery, lacquerware, stone carvings, etc. were very impressed by these young people were doing embroidery. They sat in rows and rows of tables with a copy of the photo. You can see from the photos of his incredible work. Shortly after his arrival at the port took us to our boat - I do not know to pay $ 70 for our cruise in the evening we did better than a boat, instead of $ 48 that are going to pay - but our team and our guide was fantastic and I can not even begin to describe the food served - I kept coming and going and going! There were 2 crew members, in particular, that just does not get enough of Emma - have kept her company and play with it - has a very addictive personality! Michael was able to go, both in the caves we stopped to sleep, but Emma was the first stage, so I did in second. I'll let the images speak for themselves, rather than bore you with my lack of descriptive writing. Shortly after the bed at night when they were struck by lightning and the storm's incredible. We were safely anchored in a sheltered housing, but the thought crossed my mind that Ken would not be very happy with me if they were hit by lightning while crossing the South China Sea, with two of his daughters. We have contact with the media before they closed the windows, but has done everything that our most memorable adventure! Immediately after breakfast we were given the choice of a kayak or boat to go to a small museum dedicated to the small fishing village that still lie within Michaela has opted to kayak and Emma and I to the small boat. 600 people live in these 120 houseboats (headquarters) in which the fish for a living. He then returned to port, while a more substantial meal is served on the way back. As soon as we started driving rain - perfect timing! Today is our last day in Hanoi, so the plan to end a little shopping and take some photos in the middle of the road. Breann Ken, Jalen, Flans and Becca - are counting the hours until we get on this plane to come home to you. . . I can not wait to meet Emma and I can not wait to keep my children close - we've lost so much! A word on this entry - I hope you all enjoyed reading this. . . its hard to write for a diverse audience. . . . I got e-mail requesting information about Emma, I have e-mail to inquire about Vietnam. . . I tried to do both. Part of the frustration comes with internet access and my work - let's take all day and I sit down to write Wh can barely put 2 words together let alone 2 phrases I know that my writing was probably more boring. Sometimes the internet connection is so slow it takes 4 minutes to load all the pictures you put here. Last night there was no connection at all, so I could not access your blog to writing about Halong Bay. This morning, the connection is quick and I was able to upload lots of photos. Tips To Know The Types Of Fishing Rod To Acquire
The fishing rod holders have the disadvantage that a number of reasons. On the one hand, is a convenient storage device especially when you're in a kayak. Instead of holding the blade between his legs while fishing, a fishing rod holder stores the shaft in place and then allow anyone to carry multiple rods or (if one insists so) carry multiple paddles. Trolling also easy as the owner keeps the rod in place, as you travel to a series of spots to fish. Also, when you drop a fish caught, rod holders rod to keep safe. More importantly, they help to catch more fish, while allowing for a kayak versatile and very well designed. Here are some tips that may prove useful in determining the types of fishing rods should be purchased. To connect or not connect There are basically two types of fishing rod holders, which can be connected with the outside of the kayak and one that is made into yarn. Both have different functions and work well both as a result. The choice depends on what you prefer and how. For those who prefer the loose type of independent owner angling is available in two forms, straight and angled. Most kayaks use the form of angle. When using this type have a good chance of walking away from the auction for the kayak. For those who prefer the attachment if you use the type of law, which was able to hold the rod in the center of the boat and works so it's best to keep the rod in storage. This type of right holder angling is good for the Tower and Cobra Navigator model of a kayak. The home owner of the fishing rod can be done as its head of the common custom fishing rod PVC. Or you could start to get a milk carton and connected to a kayak with seat belt use. The alternative type of fishing pole no other support rod that could be made just above the kayak. These tubes are often called as RAM Titelock. As the name implies, blocks the shaft in place and usually consists of one male and one female. This difference, in part, allows the two to be separated. The producers usually do this type of angling are Attwood, Scotty and Roberts.
